Printable Christmas gift list and budget tracker

Keep your Christmas gift list on a printable sheet. List each person, your gift idea, what you planned to spend and what you actually spent, then tick Bought, Received and Wrapped as you go. Print it or save it as a PDF. The sheet has no dates, so it also works for birthdays, Secret Santa or any gift-giving season.

Choose your gift list layout

Portrait gives you twelve taller rows and three lines for notes. Landscape has fifteen wider rows and one notes line. Choose a font in Settings: Standard, Atkinson Hyperlegible Next or Lexend.

How to fill in your gift list

Write the occasion beside the title and add one recipient per row. Planned is your budget for that gift; Spent is what you actually paid. Check Bought after purchasing, Received when it arrives and Wrapped when it's ready to give. Fill in the rows and tick the boxes by hand on the printed sheet.

Write amounts in your usual currency. If you use more than one, add the currency beside each amount to keep them clear. Use Notes for sizes or a reminder to keep the receipt.

For shopping deadlines or delivery dates, use a calendar grid or a weekly planner alongside your gift list.

How to set a Christmas gift budget

Mark shopping and delivery dates on the December 2026 calendar.

  1. Decide the total you want to spend.
  2. Split it across the people on your list and write each amount under Planned before you shop.
  3. Fill in Spent after each purchase.
  4. Compare the two columns before your last shopping weekend.

Gift list on paper or in a spreadsheet?

A spreadsheet adds up the totals for you. A printed list stays on the fridge or in your bag, and shows at a glance who still has no gift. Use whichever you will actually look at in December.

Print or save as PDF

  1. Select Print to open your browser's print dialog.
  2. Choose your printer, or Save as PDF on a desktop browser. Some systems offer a PDF printer instead.
  3. Check the paper size, orientation, and page preview before printing. Turn off browser headers and footers if they appear.

The layout is sized for A4 (210 × 297 mm). To print on US Letter (8.5 × 11 in), choose Letter and use your browser's fit-to-page option if available. The list scales down to fit, with extra space around it. Check the orientation and page count in the preview before printing. Available print options depend on your browser and device.
